1.
Make sure you know who you really are. If you don't know
who you are, this will be quite confusing. Figure out your personality, values,
goals and friends.
2.
Decide which parts of your personality you want to always
keep on display, and which parts you want others to only catch a glimpse of.
For example, you might let everyone know you love reading, but you might only
let it slip out every now and then that you're deathly afraid of speaking in
public.
3.
Seem aloof when people talk to you. This doesn't mean that
you should be stuck up or act dumb. Instead, you should simply just seem to
have something deep and personal on your mind. This point will make people more
interested in you and strive for your attention. Don't overdo it though!
4.
Learn when to talk. If you are relatively quiet, the things
that you say will resonate with more meaning.
5.
Practice being unpredictable. Think of your typical
reactions to things (this is where knowing yourself comes in handy) and decide
which reactions you want to keep, and which ones you want to change. Maybe you
totally hate watching the footy, but every now and then you sit down with your
family and really get into it. This is probably the hardest step, but if you
work hard, you can achieve it.
6.
Make sure you never look the same. Do something different
with your hair every day. Even changing the color of your hair barrette or
adding a ribbon will make you totally unpredictable. Experiment: One day you
might have smoky eyes and dark lipstick, the next day you might just have lip
gloss.
7.
Make friends with heaps of people, but have days where you
only talk to some. This doesn't mean you have to snub them or be a jerk, but
try to talk to one group on one day, and another group the next. Make sure to
change the days around or people will begin to realize what you're doing.
8.
Make your room mysterious. Maybe have one part that's
totally feminine and fun, but the other part is dark and Gothic. People will be
confused about whether you're feminine or Goth.
9.
Often just read a book or draw. Don't skip rope or go play
football or something like that. If you're going swimming or ice skating,
simply go around just floating or looking about. Playing on rafts or using a
bar to skate aren't very clever ways to make people think you're all that
mysterious.
10.
Don't watch TV too much. You can when you're alone.
Watching T.V may seem harmless enough, but if you get caught watching shows
like Zoey 101 or Wizards of Waverly Place, people are going to think you're
playing with them, which you are. But you don't want them to discover that!!
11.
Don't talk a lot about your opinions and feelings, except
maybe to very close friends and family. Try not to let expression show on your
face. If you aren't obvious about your emotions, you will seem even more
mysterious.
12.
Don't talk about past relationships. Just answer questions
with the statement that you learned more about yourself by experiencing the
relationship.
13.
Post as little information as possible on Social Networking
sites. See how little you can put.
14.
Try to have a slight smile on your face. Just a small one.
15.
Dye your hair and get a deeper hair color. Try deep
chestnut, or black. Get a hair style with sharp angular cuts and long bangs.
This will add all the more mystery to your look OR just keep your normal hair
colour and style, it's all about feeling confident with how you look!
16.
Use a shade lighter foundation that you usually do. Then
add deep purple or reddish lipstick. You'll have a bit of a gothic look but
it'll be sexy.
17.
Wear deep purples, black, deep reds, forest greens,
anything with a dark flair. Pair your outfit with feminine things like long
vintage necklaces, beaded black and purple earrings. Wear shorter skirts with
fishnet stockings and colored tights. This is a really cool look.
18.
Go for items with the darker sides. Learn to journal and write.
Poets are quite mysterious.
19.
Be silent but speak when spoken to, but seem friendly at
the same time- you don't want to give off the impression of being rude! you
want to be mysterious which means if you catch a guy's eye; give him a sultry
look and look away, slipping into the shadows. Man, he'll want to chase you!
20.
Read a great deal. Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Alexandre
Dumas père have all written great books. Books like these will increase your
vocabulary and will impress many people.
21.
Smile as if you have a juicy secret...but refuse to tell
others. Whenever someone asks you if you like someone else, smile that secret
smile and say "Why? Do you?" or just leave him/her hanging.
22.
Smile, but do not laugh at people's jokes. This also shows
people that they need to impress you to be noticed and their jokes,
appreciated.
23.
Try to figure people out. Don't get overexcited or happy
when you see your crush or boyfriend, and don't tell him much about yourself.
That way he will want more from you and won't dump you unless you dump him.
24.
Have a mysterious life. This may seem a little tricky but
it really does work. Perhaps you are a county champion at swimming, or maybe
you are a crack shot. Work really hard at something but don't tell anybody
directly. If they ask where you are going if you are going to practice just
say, 'oh I've got to go do this thing with my cousin/mum/preferred relative’.
This way, when someone finds out you are a amazing
gymnast/swimmer/singer/chosen activity, you will send an air of amazement that
wasn't there the day before. This may only work for a few people but if you are
following all the other steps you should have the amazing mysterious persona.
Also don't answer too many questions when people find out. This way you will make
them look you up. Making them think 'who is she really?'
25.
Listen to classical music. If you absolutely love Lady Gaga
or Slipknot, don't give them up, just try to find some dark classical that you
like. Kanon Wakeshima is ideal, and some Moi Dix Mois is good for this too, but
chose some dark classical that reflects who you are, just as long as it's not
the Can-Can or anything super happy/jumpy.
26.
Don't share your grades with many people and if you do
don't keep the same grade when you tell certain people. First ask them what
they got, and if they say I asked you first say I asked you second.
